Tilta Nucleus Auto Focus Adapter
The Tilta Nucleus Auto Focus Adapter (E to PL) brings autofocus to manual PL cine lenses. It sits between a Sony E-mount camera and a PL lens, uses the camera’s phase-detection AF data including face and eye detection, and translates it via Nucleus Nano II or Nucleus-M II motors into precise focus movements on the focus ring. Lens profiles are created and calibrated directly on the adapter’s display and stored in the adapter, no app is needed. With a second motor, the camera also controls the iris electronically, and the MF button on the Nucleus-M II hand unit allows manual takeover at any time. In the set with two Nano II motors, 15 mm rod adapter and F970 battery plate, the adapter makes classic cine lenses and rehoused vintage lenses practical for small teams and solo shoots.
